FORMER SENATOR TEMPLE DICKSON PASSED AWAY

Last Democrat to represent the area in the Senate

Former State Senator R. Temple Dickson III (D-Sweetwater), who represented the upper Brazos-Colorado valley from Abilene to Temple in the 24^th District from 1989-1993, passed away early on the morning of November 30, 2006. The funeral will be held at Senator Dickson’s 69 Ranch in central Nolan County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006.
