SAN ANTONIO COUNCILWOMAN ELISA CHAN SAYS SHE WILL RUN FOR GOP NOMINATION IN SD 25

Another contender for the Bexar County vote emerges...

From today's announcement:

"(Elisa) Chan currently represents San Antonio’s conservative Council District 9. She is President of Unintech Consulting Engineers, a structural and civil engineering firm founded by Chan and her husband, Clifford, 21 years ago. On the Council, Chan is a dedicated fiscal and social conservative who has enjoyed the strong support of voters in her three elections.

"As a steadfast foe of tax increases and a fierce opponent of wasteful government spending, Chan has focused on building a pro job-creation environment. In her time in office, she has been a leader in attracting new jobs to the region. Her conservative values have often put Chan at odds with Democrat Mayor Julian Castro and she has not shied away from opposing his spending programs and liberal social agenda."
