TIM KLEINSCHMIDT ANNOUNCES HE WILL RUN FOR RE-ELECTION TO HD 17
The three-termer puts to rest low talk that he had his eyes set on a run for Agriculture Commissioner.
From the release sent out today from the Lexington Republican:
"Tim Kleinschmidt was mentioned as a possible candidate for Texas Agriculture Commissioner based on his work on the House Agriculture Committee, his conservative values and strong support for property rights. 'Texas agriculture needs a strong leader to champion Lone Star State food and fiber, but my heart remains in District 17 and my energy will be focused on keeping the Texas House in conservative hands and focused on fiscally and socially sound conservative priorities.'”
