FAKE CONSERVATIVE "NEWSPAPER" IS NEARLY IDENTICAL TO OFFICIAL STEVE STOCKMAN LITERATURE

Challenger to Cornyn appears to be up to some of his old tricks, observers say

Note: Copies of the official Stockman for Senate literature and the fake newspaper – which are nearly identical – are at the bottom of this article – SB

The campaigns of Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Friendswood, have been unconventional for sure. Now that he’s challenging Sen. John Cornyn in this Republican primary, it appears people all over Texas are getting a taste of the tactics Stockman’s used successfully in the past along the Gulf Coast to appeal to the far right. This includes apparently publishing his own "newspapers" that have started appearing this weekend in the mail boxes of some folks who have voted in at least three Republican primaries.

In a development that was first discovered and tweeted by us here at QR Saturday night - then subsequently picked up by Big Jolly Politics in Houston on Sunday - these conservative “newspapers” have been showing up at homes in Southeast Texas and Travis County. Those are the ones we know of.
