Slew of ethics bills pass Texas House including online posting of personal financial statements

Democratic Leader Chris Turner attaches amendment to make statements available on TEC website

The House on Tuesday tentatively passed five ethics reform measures by Rep. Sarah Davis, contributing to Gov. Greg Abbott’s emergency item goal of ethics reform.  

These bills are different from the package of proposals in the Senate by Sen. Van Taylor and their House companions, which were previously heard in committee.
