People on the Move
Senior staff returns to the private sector, appointments, and a notable retirement
There’s
nothing quite like a deck shuffle in an election, a speaker’s race that’s heating
up and a new legislative session right around the corner to get the juices flowing
in the capitol community.
Our
little website experienced some technical issues earlier in the week, prompting
one staffer to joke on social media that all the rumors and commotion surrounding
the speaker’s race “broke the Quorum Report.” I laughed out loud
but no, we are still here.
The
last few days have been quite the adventure, huh? More to come.
Can’t
remember if I mentioned it here in the pages of QR previously, so I’ll do it
now. We have a new partner in crime on the weekly podcast: Jeremy Walllace at the Houston
Chronicle now joins Ryan Poppe with Texas Public Radio and me each week
to break down the headlines for you. Here’s
the latest edition for your listening pleasure over the weekend.
Meantime,
friends in the lobby and state agencies were making significant moves this week,
which is what POTM is all about. If you have career news to share about
yourself, a colleague or an adversary, send it anytime to ksbraddock@gmail.com and put POTM in the
subject line.
