Baselice voter poll contradicts bulk of testimony on mandatory paid sick leave
New numbers from Republican pollster Mike Baselice show widespread support for
the local control issues that have become a cornerstone of the leadership’s
legislative agenda this session.
The Baselice
& Associates poll, commissioned by the Center for Public Policy
Priorities, surveyed 801 voters across regions, political parties and
income brackets. Asked to consider local control issues, 74 percent said they
strongly or somewhat supported the ability of cities and counties to require
private business to mandate paid sick leave days.
