Despite plumbing board meltdown, Abbott says there will be no special session

Gov.
Greg Abbott last night tweeted “NO
SPECIAL SESSION” even after a state agency failed to receive reauthorization in
the closing days of session leading to speculation in the Texas Capitol community
about legislative overtime.
Meantime,
one of the few licensed trades in Texas will no longer be regulated after
lawmakers failed to extend the life of the agency that oversees plumbers.
