Special Master appointed in case of Dallas District Judge

The Texas Supreme Court has appointed a special master to consider charges that District Judge Gena Slaughter has failed to keep her bar license in good standing while on the bench.

Slaughter, who was elected in 2006, has allowed her bar dues to lapse five times during her 13 years on the bench.
