TDI picks up rulemaking on surprise billing law

Hospitals want more clarity on the process and timeline, docs want prompt rule adoption to give small physician practices the time to adapt to the changes

Rules for the new balanced billing law crosses three agencies – the Texas Department of Insurance, the Texas Medical Board and the Health and Human Services Commission -- as well as a multitude of associations and advocate groups with vested interests in the outcome.
