Report over the last few days that Gov. Greg Abbott is potentially
looking at cuts across state agencies of up to 20%, he emphatically denied that
to members of the Texas Legislature and Congress on
a private conference call Thursday morning. That’s
according to people familiar with the discussions.
As pieced together from
those who were on the private conference call – the way in which much of state
government is being run amid the coronavirus pandemic – here is some of the
