New Texas budget language would block Gov. Abbott from making unilateral decisions on roughly $16 billion in federal coronavirus relief funding
After bipartisan backlash
from members of the Legislature over the stripping of budget
language that would have barred Gov. Greg Abbott from unilaterally making
decisions on what to do with roughly $16 billion in federal coronavirus relief funding,
QR has learned new language is being added to the spending plan
to ensure Abbott cannot make those decisions on his own.
