In bid for Speaker, Rep. Tinderholt says he has called every Republican House member, omits how many calls were returned

In his longshot bit for Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, Rep. Tony Tinderholt on Wednesday said he has now reached out to every GOP member of the body by trying to call them. Just days before the GOP Caucus meets this weekend to endorse a candidate to speaker, Tinderholt did not say how many of the members returned his calls.

Without naming names, Tinderholt said he has “been encouraged at the number who tell me they think we GOP need new leadership in the Texas House.”
