Texas Secretary of State issues report on non-citizens
The Secretary of State’s office has issued
a simple one-page report to indicate how many voter registrations were canceled
in Texas last year due to non-citizenship status: 2,552.
This reported number, a new requirement under Senate
Bill 1, is a fraction of the potential non-citizen voters identified in
the “forensic audit” of the 2020 general election (11,737) or the number of
potential non-citizen voters with driver licenses identified back in 2019
That last number, of course, managed to get David
Whitley busted as Secretary of State.
