from The Valley. Yes,
there was quite a bit of buzz about last week’s County Line Conclave
where they were already trying to figure out who the next speaker will be. But
there are still quite a few Texas House campaigns to settle this
November before we even know exactly what the partisan breakdown of the chamber
will be. A couple of those races are here in South Texas and others are
distributed across DFW, Central Texas, the Coastal Bend, and Houston. We’ll
be checking on all of them. Meantime,
there were quite a few career moves of significance in
and around the Capitol over the past couple weeks. As most of you know all too
well by now, the quickest way let the Texas political world know about your new
